About Us

Welcome, this blog is about our 1985 Catalina 25 Patience - We keep it at Brewer – Pilots Point marina in Westbrook, Connecticut which is about an hour from our home.

We learned to sail after purchasing our previous boat, a 1959 Flying Scot day sailer which we trailer sailed and occasionally docked or mored in the Long Island sound at various marina’s near the Westbrook area.

Our first view of Patience

Most of our sailing experience comes from the ups and down of our sailing in close range of the shore of Connecticut and on the many lakes in New England. We have had some formal training at Mitchell College in New London as well as several Power Squadron classes.
